⭐️ 1 star After being registered with this veterinary practice for around 6 years, I was absolutely disgusted to receive a letter informing me that we are no longer welcome as clients, with no explanation or reason given. I can only assume this may be connected to my last consultation, which was an extremely upsetting experience. My dog had a severe double ear infection and was clearly in a lot of pain. I felt the vet was dismissive of what I was telling her and I even had to ask for my dog’s temperature to be taken. There was also very little customer care shown throughout the appointment. When swabs were required, I asked if a nurse could hold my dog while they were taken because I find it incredibly distressing to watch my dog being put through something painful — something I think most caring owners would understand. The nurse then came out with my dog, while the vet did not come out to speak to me. I had to ask the nurse whether antibiotics were going to be prescribed. I was then told the vet wanted to examine the swabs under a microscope first, which I understand, but I wanted to speak directly to the vet treating my dog and understand what the plan was. I was told the vet was “very, very backlogged” and couldn’t speak to me, and that she hoped to call me later that day. My dog was in significant pain with a double ear infection, yet I was expected to simply wait for a call. Thankfully, another vet eventually called me later that day to confirm antibiotics had been prescribed. This is not my first negative experience with this practice, but after six years of being a client, to suddenly receive a letter telling me to leave without any explanation is extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, completely unacceptable. I would strongly urge other pet owners to think carefully before choosing this practice. Your pet deserves to be listened to, treated with compassion, and for you as their owner to feel that their health and wellbeing are genuinely being taken seriously.
