Been with these vets for over 25 years and they are brilliant.

I seriously seriously am so impressed by the staff at Firgrove Vets. I couldn’t ever recommend a better service. I was in tears this morning and was so reassured and managed to sort all my enquiries out, both professionally and the staff was so understanding. Thank you Zoe and the other staff here, I appreciate the support 👏🏼👏🏼

Our experience with this clinic is not very good. The first time it happened a couple of months ago when we waited in waiting for about an hour and only then they told us that our visit was at another clinic I do not know who made the visit to another clinic. I just don't understand how they saw our name on the computer and made us wait. I did not receive an apology.Today I had to visit again, cutting the dog's nails to the point of bleeding, no apologies, when I asked Kristina Tomco to check her teeth, even without checking she said well that it has to be like that For the first time, I heard that dogs do not need to have their nails trimmed if they are walking on the pavement .

I’m still trying to come to terms with the horrific experience we had happen to us Friday 1st November 24. Firstly I want to express how nice and understanding the receptionist I spoke to on the phone and believe this was the same lady who knew as soon as I walked in who my dog was and compassionately said take a seat the vet won’t be long. I believe her name is Nicky brain so thank you for this. Things soon changed when the vet opened her door very coldly calling our dogs name we enter her room with me explaining why we have had to bring our dog which she stopped us and said “hold on can we make sure we are on the same page “ me and my husband looked at each other confused I then said we have come to have our girl put to sleep she had no idea this is why we was bringing her in she then said I’m not prepared for this. We expressed strongly that we wanted to have our baby girl with us while she finally closed her eyes forever we told her she had been having seizures since early that morning and they were coming every 15 minutes she said I will take her out the back to have a cannula put in and bring her back in we said can’t she stay with us for this she said no it’s best it’s done by the team out the back my gut knew this was not right and I wish now I had said NO she is to stay with us no matter what. Few minutes later this vet returns to myself and husband to fill the form out she then gets called out the back which instantly we are thinking what’s going on we sat there anxious while a knock at the door from the reception side went it was a lady from reception called Clare Andrew’s she said excuse me I just need to come through this way as the other doors are locked. My first thought was surely this lady should no we are having our dog put to sleep and knocking to pop through this room is just so unprofessional and inappropriate at this time ? The vet who is dealing with our dog then comes in holding our girl looked at us and said she had another seizure we got the cannula in but didn’t have to use it I looked at my little girl and she had already gone I said you knew we wanted her with us you have gone against our wishes she said she’s only been gone about 30 seconds I said you was told we didn’t want her to leave us in the first place and now she has gone in the time you have had her out the back which was way over 5 minutes she then Said we had to administer drugs up her bum to stop the seizure and she didn’t make it I don’t believe this for one minute that vet who I’m not sure I have named Kristina Tomco went against our final wishes took it into her own hands in that time my poor little dog was having that seizure she should have bought her back into us like we made clear in the first place. She robbed us of our final goodbye which will stay with us forever !! We trusted her even though our gut told us not to let her take her out the back. I expressed this is just another animal to her this isn’t her baby girl who was 15 and is closing her eyes forever and just wanting to be in her mummy and daddy’s arms one last time !! She didn’t say anything we left we our girl I said to reception I want to make an officially complaint which I believe was the reception who disrespectfully entered the room Clare Andrew’s she passed me a card and said email address is here that was it. I returned to the vets after we took our girl to the car as I just couldn’t quite believe what had just happened and needed to speak to someone there and then. I spoke with the Manager who was saying a very different version of events to what had happened from us bringing our girl In to why she was out the back so long and why they administered stuff up her bum. Yes we are emotionally upset knowing this was our last time with our girl but that certainly doesn’t take away the way we and my baby girl was treated and we are taking this further as this has left us traumatised lost total trust in people we thought were professional and cared. Please don’t let your fur baby’s be taken away from you while they put the cannula in stay with them !!

Took my Kitten to the Vet for his vaccinations and his checkup and the staff was very helpful and insightful. Happily answering my questions no matter how stupid the questions were. Left with a very happy kitten
