We took are dog to vet the vets on Wednesday. Unfortunately she went down hill fast. I could not fault the veterinary nurses and vets support staff. They were supportive and understanding told us everything that was going on. Went through everything throughly, they couldn't of done more, to make a very distressing time as good as it possibly could be. Very very good service. X

Recently our beloved boy became very ill and when we saw the first vet we could not fault her. She showed compassion and cared about our dog. She was shown videos and used those videos to monitor his breathing as like all dogs our George was anxious being in the vets. Blood tests showed he had acute liver damage. Phone in around 4-6 weeks later as started to decline after finishing his medication for another round of blood tests and receive a call from a different vet saying its rare but there was no sign of liver damage. Took George in to be seen, had videos of his breathing to show how he has declined. First we are 30 mins late in for his appointment, nobody from reception even thought to pop their head round to notify us took me saying I was about ti leave for my dog to be seen but the vet paid ZERO attention to the videos. Said my dog had a fever. Within a week my dog has passed away on his 11th birthday. My mum phoned to enquire about him being put to sleep and private cremation to be quoted a minimum of £550+ The receptionist was questioned why their pricing was over £200 more than another vets in the area who actually provide you with more and they could not answer the question I phoned to say my dog had passed away and would be bringing him down. After the family saying their goodbyes we was notified about Final Rest where George was taken. 48 hours later I am yet to hear from the vets to ask why I did not take George in. I pay every month for my dogs into the pet club and the way my dog has been treated is appalling. There are 2 vets in the practice I cannot fault, the rest of them no compassion or care and should be ashamed of how my dog has been fobbed off and left to suffer before taking his final breath all because we dont have lots of money

Every single member of staff at Alver vets are absolutely amazing! My Labrador loves all of the staff here which puts us at ease when we had to leave her for the day. Big shout out to Vanessa who went above and beyond today at Margos appointment. Thank you 🌟

I always have a great experience with Alver Vets, I feel they take great care of both me and my cats, with thorough discussions and examinations. Everyone I’ve met who works there has been professional, kind and helpful, and they have no qualms answering all my questions. Access to the out of hours vet when needed was simple and easy; and they are so good with my health anxiety in regard to my cat.
